LORNA DANCEY
Storyteller | Writer | Photographer | Cultural Consultant

Lorna Dancey is a Métis storyteller, writer, and cultural advocate with over a decade of experience capturing the voices of Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and survivors. Her journey into storytelling began with a deep personal desire to reclaim the stories and teachings that were once hidden from her own family. Growing up distanced from her Métis heritage, Lorna discovered the healing power of stories while working with Indigenous communities, documenting their lived experiences and preserving their wisdom for future generations.

Driven by a profound respect for the wisdom of Elders and the resilience of Indigenous cultures, Lorna created Cheyenne’s Storytelling Series as a bridge between generations. Her work is a celebration of truth, culture, and connection, using stories to inspire pride, understanding, and healing. Lorna is known for her empathetic approach, her commitment to cultural authenticity, and her ability to transform spoken stories into vibrant, heartfelt narratives.
